SMALL BATCH SOAP WITH INTEGRITY
I’ve been hand making soap for 7 years in Austin, TX.
Everyone uses soap and I couldn’t tell you how it was made. For my 22nd birthday I asked for a soap making class, this was also during an intentional transition to slow my life down. The entire process from ingredient selection to how I label each bar is very intentional and personal. It’s something I always want to be a part of. Now I teach soap making classes and it has become a huge part of what I love about this hobby turned job.
Initially I was making 1 pound batches of soap because it was purely for gifts and myself. Now I make about 21 pounds of soap a week; 3 batches at 7 pounds each. I always intend for the batches to remain small so I have more control over the entire process.
My handmade soap is wrapped in recycled paper, sealed with biodegradable tape, and stamped with biodegradable ink. The packaging may look simple, but every aspect is as intentional as the bar it wraps around.
